Do I need a hunting license to hunt alligators with The Gator Quest?

Yes. All hunters are required to have a valid Florida hunting license before participating in an alligator hunt. If you don't already have one, you can purchase your Florida hunting license online through Go Outdoors Florida, the official licensing portal of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. If you have any questions about licensing requirements, we're happy to help guide you through the process.

When is the best time of year to book a gator hunt?

We offer alligator hunting opportunities year-round. Florida’s warm climate allows us to consistently target trophy alligators throughout the year.
How large are the alligators typically harvested?

Alligator size varies by hunt, but we regularly target trophy-class alligators. Pricing is based on the length of the harvested alligator, and we’ll discuss realistic expectations before your hunt.
What weapons and equipment are used during the hunt?

Depending on the hunt, we may use harpoons, crossbows, fishing rods, bang sticks, or firearms in accordance with Florida regulations. All necessary equipment is provided.
What happens if we don’t harvest an alligator?

Our guides work hard to provide every hunter with the best opportunity for success. While no hunt can guarantee a harvest, we maintain a very high success rate and will discuss expectations before your trip.
Can I bring friends, family, or spectators on the hunt?

Yes! Spectators are welcome to join your hunt and experience the excitement firsthand. A spectator fee of $100 per person applies. Please let us know how many guests will be joining you when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
What should I bring on my hunt?

We recommend comfortable outdoor clothing, closed-toe footwear, bug spray, weather-appropriate gear, and a camera. We’ll provide a complete preparation checklist before your hunt.
Do you offer hog, exotic, and other guided hunts?

Yes! In addition to our guided alligator hunts, we also offer hog hunts, thermal hog hunts, duck hunts, and dove hunts. Whether you're looking for an action-packed nighttime thermal hunt or a classic waterfowl experience, we have guided hunting opportunities for a variety of outdoor adventures. How do I reserve a hunt date?

Simply contact us by phone, email, or through our booking form. A deposit is required to reserve your date, and we’ll provide all trip details once your hunt is confirmed.

Gator Quest is based in Central Florida, conveniently located approximately 1 hour from Tampa and 1 hour from Orlando. Our central location provides easy access to some of Florida's premier private alligator hunting properties while remaining within a short drive of two major airports.
